Sabinsa Gets GRAS Status for Cococin

Sabinsa Corporation has received Generally Recognized As Safe (GRAS) status for its branded ingredient Cococin, featuring coconut water solids, after an intensive review of safety and toxicology data by an independent panel of scientists assembled by Soni & Associates, Inc.

“Achieving GRAS notification within the target timeframe fulfills one more milestone in Sabinsa’s development program to better serve our partners in the food industry,” stated Dr. Muhammed Majeed, founder and chairman, Sabinsa Corporation. “By obtaining GRAS status, not only does the assessment demonstrate the safety of our product, but it also opens other doors for our company.”
